Tax Credit Update for Buyers

by elizabetheugenio on July 1, 2010

The extension for the federal tax credit has been approved.  This means if you were in escrow by April 30 and your transaction did not close, you can still take advantage of the tax credit as long as you close escrow by September 30, 2010.  This is another break through for the buyers!

State tax credit may not be available anymore.  As of June 15, $91 Million of the funds appropriated for the purpose have been used.

Those who missed the tax crerdit have to remember that the interest rates are still at record low, plus more inventory of homes available and homes are priced lower.  It is still a great time to buy a home.
